One Week.....Ahhhhh!!!

It is officially one week away from my birthday today and I must admit...I have really been driving myself crazy about it this year...even to the point of tears!
Every year on or around my birthday a big "adjustment" if you will occurs...financially, relocating, sickness, etc. that this year just scares the lights out of me cause we have so much in "the air" in our lives right now. I think I am going to have to medicate myself to make it through the next week!
I have taken it as far as thinking my house is going to burn down just because a child in the preschool I work at drew me a picture of my house burning down... so if you could imagine...I have been crazy anal around the house about any "fire starting" appliance and or things.
That is pretty sad to fear a birthday and I know it's all in my head so after this "vent" post..I am officially going to really try to forget about the negative birthday stuff...prayers please!
I need one boring, non-eventful birthday so I can put all this mental mess to rest!
On the way to thinking positive...I even put a cute happy bday background on this blog to lighten the birthday mood a little! Happy Birthday to me..Happy Birthday to me...Ok..so not ready for that yet.
Well now that you prob think I have lost my mind....I will post a little update after my birthday to let you know how I survived!! Maybe even add some pictures of me actually smiling on my birthday...we shall see!

Good News...Bad News

Craig heard from CSX today and found out.......

The Good News: Craig passed all of his physical tests, strength tests, drug tests, background check, etc and all his paper work was in. He was officially certified today and is ready to attend class in Atlanta!

The Bad News: Craig was the ONLY one out of his area of hires for this position to pass all of his "tests" and now has to wait on a new set of hires for this particular position so a class can assemble and start!
Can you believe that! Now he is looking at early March for a class to start in Atlanta!

Relief yet frustration is still in the air here. Seems so close but yet so far away! We are practicing patience and faith and I guess that is what God is working with us on!

I still feel so incredibly blessed compared to all that is going on around us. We just have no room to complain at all and we hope to keep that mentality as long as we can!!! We are healthy..our children are healthy and happy... and we have food on the table.....I mean that is more than most right now and my prayers go out to those who are struggling for any of these means!!!
God Bless and have a great weekend!!!

Character Kid Award

Ryland was named Character Kid of the Month for his class for honesty and fairness. They held a little ceremony this morning for his award and here are a few pictures to share! We are soooo proud of him and thankful he is a terrible liar! ;-)

The Fort

We spent most of today making a fort and trails through the woods!! Brought back so many memories of playing in the woods when I was growing up!!! As you could see from the pictures..Ms. Milicent was the only one not interested! Ha! Pictures of the finished fort coming soon!!!

Free Fun

We decided on Saturday to jet out of Thomasville and spend the rainey day in Tallahassee. We had several gift cards and tons of Chuck-e-cheese tokens to blow and had a blast!!! Free fun is the best fun!!!

Ryland School Update

Over the past month or so...Ryland has been testing for the gifted program here in Thomas County Schools. We got some results back 2 weeks ago that he has tested gifted in two of the three tests that they administered to him. He gets it from his moma by the way......ha ha yeah I was being sarcastic! He will taking one more to determine his eligibility for the program which needs 3 passes out of 4 tests so I will post soon on those results. I am so proud of that little turd...He amazes me every day!

The Naked Baker

Milicent and I decided to bake some chocolate muffins this afternoon and I barely had enough batter to put into the muffin pan..thus you can tell from the picture!

Over the past few weeks she has decided that she needs to be naked when we are at the house at all times. At first I thought it was cute but now she is scaring away all the neighbors and embarassing her little brother so we are def having to work on that!!!

I just love the way Kole sleeps! So Rotten!

Baxter is our newest addition to the Ramhofer Gang. I need another animal like I need another hole in the head but I couldn't resist! He is so stinkin sweet! He is straight from New York City and came to our neighbors house with his daughter over Christmas Break. After 2 dogs, 4 Chickens, 2 kids, 1 husband...okay make that 3 kids....I guess one more addition wouldn't matter that much anyways!

Craig's Job Update

Craig had his physical for CSX yesterday and had a strength test last week and both turned out great so now we are just waiting for all the paperwork to come together and are looking at Craig to start school in early to mid February. In the mean time, Craig was let go at his current job last week..we are pretty sure due to them finding out about the CSX job before he was able to give a notice at the beginning of February. Please keep us in your prayers once more for the next several weeks as we endure our next test in faith till Craig begins school.
